In the Kuban 70-year-old driver confiscated the car for repeated drunk driving

In the Kalininsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, a court confiscated a car from a 70-year-old local resident convicted of re-driving a car while intoxicated. The man was assigned 420 hours of mandatory work and banned from driving for two years.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of the Krasnodar Territory, on December 7, 2025, a man previously punished for refusing to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, again sat behind the wheel in a drunken state. He drove a Daewoo Nexia car and drove on the road Timashevsk — Poltava.

While driving, the driver drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Lada Vesta car, which was moving in a passing direction. No one was injured in the accident. Arriving traffic police officers removed the man from driving, after which it was confirmed that he was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

The public prosecutor asked the court not only to impose punishment, but also to confiscate the car used in the crime. The court agreed with the position of the prosecutor’s office and turned Daewoo Nexia into the property of the Russian Federation.
