Illegal plantation on the balcony: Minsk man detained for growing hemp

Law enforcement officers detained a 31-year-old Minsk resident who organized a room in his apartment for growing drug-containing plants. This was reported in the Mingory Executive Committee, writes sb.by.

At the place of residence of the defendant, the operatives found and seized a groubox, an extract, a thermometer, fertilizers, three pots with soil and hemp plants, as well as about 20 single doses of ready-to-use marijuana.

The detainee purchased the seeds through an online drug store. He grew drugs on the balcony of his apartment for his own consumption. Previously, the defendant was not prosecuted.

A criminal case has been opened for drug trafficking.
