Night meeting with the debtor turned into a kidnapping for the man

In the Republic of Bashkortostan, law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the abduction of a local resident committed by a group of persons who posed as drug control officers. The incident occurred after the victim agreed to a night meeting with his friend, who previously owed him 9 thousand rubles.

According to the source, the meeting was supposed to take place in a friend’s car, but on the highway the vehicle was blocked by two foreign cars without registration plates. Several physically strong masked men came out of the cars, who told the man that he had some monetary obligation to them, the Baza Telegram channel reports. The second participant fled the scene, leaving the victim alone.

The attackers seized the young man’s passport, work permit, apartment keys, as well as cash in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. In communicating with the victim, they allegedly arbitrarily increased the amount of debt required. Later, the man was beaten, led to the side of the road and, threatening with firearms, demanded to find an additional 400 thousand rubles as soon as possible.

The victim managed to contact his brother. Arriving at the scene, his brother rescued him from the hands of the attackers, after which they fled, moving along secondary roads to confuse possible persecution. Family members of the victim suggest that the attack may be involved in the same friend who originally initiated the meeting. In fact, a criminal case was opened under the article on kidnapping.
