Novosibirsk taxi driver killed his mother and daughter for a mortgage

Farhod Rahimzoda, who was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the murder of a woman and her five-year-old daughter, committed the crime for the money for the down payment on the mortgage. This became known from the materials of the investigation, which reveal previously unpublished details of the motive, reports “KP-Novosibirsk”.

With single mother Olga Rakhimzoda met during one of the trips, when he took her by taxi. Communication continued. After learning that the woman received an inheritance, the taxi driver helped her buy a car - and, according to investigators, this was the starting point of the tragedy.

The massacre occurred when Olga asked to take her to the service station. The victim's five-year-old daughter, Rakhimzoda, drove in a car next to his mother's body and then killed the child. At the trial, he claimed that he grabbed a knife in an argument, but the true motive, as the investigation established, was different - a thirst for profit. He took Olga's cash and sold her car.

A key detail that has not previously attracted media attention: the money killed Rakhimzoda planned to use as a down payment on the mortgage. He was married, raised two children, and the family lived in a mortgage apartment owned by his mother-in-law. The couple was going to get their own housing loan.

“The son-in-law and his daughter planned to buy his apartment in a mortgage using maternity capital, but due to the increase in the interest rate, there was not enough money for the down payment, the deal did not take place,” the investigation said, citing the taxi driver’s mother-in-law.

She also said that Rakhimzoda came to her work and said that he was attacked by a woman, and he took the knife and killed her. At his request, the woman called her husband, and he took his son-in-law home to get things, and then to Karl Marx Square - so wanted Rahimzoda himself, who had already planned an escape abroad.

Before going home to get things, Rahimzoda Farkhod handed her a newspaper bundle containing bundles of money in banknotes of 5,000 rubles, said that it was his money and he left it for his wife. On the same day, she and her husband told her daughter about the crime and gave her the money, but she did not take it, since it did not belong to them. She took this money to her job, subsequently gave it to the investigator, the case materials say.

Leaving criminal booty for his wife, the fugitive said it was for a mortgage. Of course, the purchase of an apartment did not take place. The family gave the blood money to the investigator. Rakhimzoda himself was detained in Kazakhstan and handed over to Russian law enforcement.

The tragedy occurred in the Novosibirsk region. In July 2026, a 31-year-old native of Tajikistan, who received Russian citizenship and worked as a taxi driver, met a woman from Kazakhstan, who repeatedly used his services. Knowing that she received a large inheritance, the man planned to kill her and take possession of the money. Under a far-fetched pretext, he took the victim to a deserted place in the Kirov district. The woman's five-year-old daughter was in the car - in front of the child, he stabbed her mother ten times.

During the day, the killer carried the woman’s body in the car, while the girl sat next to her in the car seat. He then took the body to the Iskitim district and hid it in a snow dump. Returning to the city, near the village of Tolmachevo, he strangled the child and also left the body on a snow dump. In addition, the defendant stole more than 2 million rubles from the victim and took possession of her car.

After committing the crimes, the man tried to escape to his homeland - to Tajikistan, but was detained in Kazakhstan. The prosecutor's office demanded life imprisonment for the defendant, but the court appointed 23 years in a strict regime colony. Mitigating circumstances were exceptionally positive characteristics, the presence of two young children and partial admission of guilt.
