Stepfather-torturer six-year-old boy sent to jail

The Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil detained a 30-year-old local resident. He is accused of systematically torturing a six-year-old stepson. This was reported in the press service of the courts of the Sverdlovsk region.

The measure of restraint was elected until November 30, 2026. The man was charged under paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 117 of the criminal code. This provision applies to the torture of a minor who is in a helpless state or in material or other dependence.

The investigation believes that the accused for several months in a row committed violent acts against a six-year-old boy. He knew that the child was dependent on him because of his age.

The court noted that the defendant had previously been hiding from the investigation. During his arrest, he resisted the police. In addition, a man has an unmoved and outstanding conviction for intentional infliction of moderate severity of harm to health.

Another criminal case is being investigated against him. It is associated with harm to the health of a minor stepdaughter.

One of the minors, fleeing beatings, wandered and was afraid to return home. The court found the man guilty of torture and sentenced him to four years in prison.
