Father and daughter prepared to fight against Russia and got 25 years for two

The southern district military court sentenced the Russian and his daughter to 18 and 7 years in prison in the case of treason. According to the FSB, the relatives cooperated with a representative of a Ukrainian terrorist organization, passed information about the Russian military and were going to go to Ukraine to participate in hostilities against Russia. This was reported in the FSB Public Relations Center.

According to the court, a man born in 1971 and his daughter, born in 2007, independently went through the messenger to a representative of a Ukrainian organization recognized as a terrorist in Russia. Their interlocutor was engaged in the recruitment of volunteers in paramilitary units of the AFU.

After receiving instructions from the Ukrainian curator, the father and daughter began to carry out his errands. According to the intelligence service, they collected information about active Russian servicemen and objects of the Russian Armed Forces located in the region. The received data was transferred to the Ukrainian side. In addition, relatives planned to go to the territory of Ukraine to personally take part in hostilities against Russian troops.

They did not have time to implement these intentions. FSB officers detained both in Sochi while trying to travel abroad. After that, criminal cases were opened against relatives.

The investigation qualified their actions under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on treason, as well as under Part 1 of Article 30 and Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on preparation for participation in the activities of an organization recognized as terrorist.

As a result of the trial, the father received 18 years of imprisonment. The convicted person will spend the first five years in prison, after which he will be transferred to a high-security correctional colony to serve the remaining sentence. His daughter was sentenced to seven years in a general regime correctional colony. The total sentence of the father and daughter was 25 years.
