The father of the deceased after the corporate Spartakiad in Adygea demanded more than 12.5 million rubles

The fourth court of cassation of general jurisdiction overturned the appeal ruling in the case of compensation for the death of an employee of an energy company after the corporate Spartakiad in Adygea. The case was sent for a new hearing to the Supreme Court of the Republic.

The trade union organized the Spartakiad for employees of the enterprise with the assistance of the employer. Competitions were held at the tourist base in Adygea. One of the employees left the venue of the competition, and the next morning his body was found at the bottom of a cliff outside the base, said the press service of the Fourth Court of Cassation.

Examination found that the man was in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication and died from injuries sustained during the fall. The father of the deceased filed a lawsuit against the company and the tourist base. He demanded to recover from the defendants more than 12.5 million rubles, to recognize the incident as an accident at work, as well as to impose a fine against the camp.

The Maykop City Court and the appellate court refused to satisfy the claims. However, the court of cassation considered the conclusions of lower instances premature, since not all the circumstances were investigated during the consideration of the case. As a result, the cassation canceled the appeal ruling and sent the case for a new hearing to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Adygea.

Earlier in the Krasnodar region, the company was obliged to pay the mother of the deceased employee 1.5 million.
