Father beats two-month-old daughter to death after crying

In the South Korean city of Osan detained a man on suspicion of murder of two-month-old daughter. During the interrogation, the father admitted that he was angry because of the crying of the child and repeatedly hit the girl in the face. The infant subsequently died in hospital. This was reported by Newsis, citing police.

The tragedy occurred in the apartment where the family lived. According to investigators, the man lost his temper when his daughter could not sleep for a long time and continued to cry. He hit the child several times, after which the girl’s condition deteriorated sharply.

At 03:47, emergency services received a report of an infant who had stopped breathing. Arrived doctors took the girl to the hospital, but to save her failed. Doctors confirmed the death of the child.

During the examination of the body, specialists found injuries that caused suspicions of a violent nature of the death. The police began to find out the circumstances of the incident and established that a home surveillance camera was installed in the apartment.

According to investigators, after doctors announced the death of his daughter, the father used the phone and deleted the recordings from the camera. These actions also attracted the attention of law enforcement officers. The man was arrested on suspicion of killing a child.

During the interrogation, the suspect said that he used physical force on the girl, as he could not calm her. The mother of the deceased, according to preliminary findings of the police, at the time of the incident was sleeping in another room and did not know about the actions of her husband. Law enforcers also reported that there had been no complaints or allegations of domestic violence in the family before.

Investigators intend to restore the deleted video surveillance records to verify the testimony of the detainee and establish the circumstances of the incident. Forensic examination should determine the exact cause of death of the girl, as well as to find out whether there are signs of violence to which the child could have been subjected before.

The police are preparing a motion to detain the suspect. The final legal assessment of his actions will depend on the results of the investigation and medical examination.
