Open burning on the tanker “Aframax Rio”, which was attacked off the coast of the Black Sea, eliminated. To eliminate the consequences of the incident, the consolidated grouping of the forces of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense and the Krasnodar Territory began.

According to the Minister of transport Andrei Nikitin following the meeting of the headquarters, rescue ships continue to be in the area of the incident and provide the necessary duty.

According to preliminary estimates of experts, pollution of the water area by oil cargo was not recorded. Monitoring of the sea surface continues.

Now the main forces are focused on eliminating the consequences of the incident and ensuring security in the area of the tanker. Specialists of relevant departments continue to monitor the situation near the coast.
