Passenger of the plane tried to bring to Belarus a large sum without declaring – criminal case

Operational customs initiated on the fact of illegal movement across the border of a large amount of cash. This was reported in the GTK, writes sb.by.

A citizen of Tajikistan, who arrived at Minsk National Airport on a flight from Tashkent, chose a green corridor intended for crossing the border without goods subject to declaration.

However, during customs operations, employees of the Minsk regional customs found more than $ 40 thousand and 21 thousand Uzbek soums. This is more than four times higher than the established norm for the movement of funds without customs declaration.

The State Customs Committee reminded that when moving across the customs border more than $ 10 thousand in the equivalent, it is necessary to follow the red corridor and fill in the passenger customs declaration. Illegal transfer of more than $ 30 thousand in the equivalent is subject to criminal liability.
