Pensioner from Cherepovets became a victim of fraudsters

Fraud on a large scale is being investigated in Cherepovets. The city police appealed 85-year-old pensioner. A criminal case has been opened.

First, the man called allegedly from the clinic. Unknown said that the pensioner should undergo fluorography, offered an entry for examination. The man named his personal data.

After that, the applicant had already received a phone call allegedly from the supervisory authority and reported that fraudsters had seized the men’s data. The pensioner is suspected of financing terrorism. Next, a “lawyer” called, who offered a way out of the situation – to “declar” money.

The pensioner collected all the cash and gave the courier 420 thousand rubles. The investigation is ongoing.
