The police asked a 78-year-old Minsk citizen, who was forced by phone fraudsters to sell an apartment in the capital, and then took possession of the money obtained as a result of the transaction. This was reported in the Mingory Executive Committee, writes sb.by.

Strangers called the Minsk citizen on the phone and reported that his experience allegedly did not take into account 10 working years, proposed a recalculation of pensions and asked to name passport data. Then the attackers on behalf of law enforcement officers frightened the pensioner with a criminal case and demanded to follow all the instructions.
First, the Minsk man collected all the savings at home and left about $ 7 thousand at a stop outside the city. The money was supposed to be taken by an employee of the DFR KGK to ensure their safety.
After the pensioner put up his apartment for sale to help bring unscrupulous realtors to clean water. He signed a sales contract with the buyer and received $83,000 in cash. Then the attackers again contacted the Minsk citizen and thanked him for his help, and asked him to temporarily transfer the money received to the courier of the State Control Committee for verification and accounting in the criminal case.
The pensioner waited several days for the return of his money, but the fraudsters stopped contacting him.
This fact is being checked.
