Near Tyumen, a motorcyclist hit children at a pedestrian crossing

Yesterday, in the vicinity of Tyumen on the 5th kilometer of the Velijansky tract, a severe accident occurred: a motorcyclist ran over children who were crossing the road on the “zebra”. As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver died, and two pedestrians – 8 and 13 years old – were injured. The third child, who was walking with them, was only hooked on the backpack - he was not seriously injured.

Children at the time of the accident were getting off the school bus and moving along the pedestrian crossing, observing the rules. After the impact, the motorcycle was thrown into the oncoming lane, where it crashed into the Mazda standing at the crossing. In this chain of collisions, a motorcycle driver died - now law enforcement officers establish his identity. A 19-year-old motorcycle passenger was also injured: he was hospitalized along with the injured children.

Because of the accident on the highway had to change the traffic pattern: in one direction, transport was allowed on the side of the road, in the other through the parking of the shopping center. Traffic police officers regulated the flows to avoid chaos and ensure the passage of emergency services.

The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
