Suspect in fraud against the tverityanka was detained

The court detained a resident of the Moscow region, said the Prosecutor’s office of the Tver region.

A criminal case was initiated against the man on the grounds of a crime under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, unknown persons introduced themselves as law enforcement officers and, under the pretext of preventing the theft of money, convinced the Tverityan, the mother of the deceased participant in a special military operation, to withdraw money from the account and transfer them to the courier.

The role of the suspect, the supervisory authority indicated, was to receive money from the victim and transfer them to accomplices. The investigation of the criminal case is under the control of the Proletarian district prosecutor's office of Tver.
