A trip to the “Niva” after a liter of alcohol turned into a criminal case for the Penza

In the Penza district, a 51-year-old man became a defendant in a criminal case after driving a Lada Niva car in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region, traffic police officers stopped the car in the village of Bogoslovka. The driver was a native of the Penza district born in 1975, previously deprived of the right to drive vehicles.

The examination confirmed that the man was in a state of alcoholic intoxication. The concentration of alcohol in the exhaled air was 1.230 mg / l.

The driver was removed from driving, and the Niva was sent to a specialized parking lot.

The man fully admitted guilt. He explained that before the trip he drank a liter of alcohol and decided to go home in a private car without calling a taxi.

On this fact, the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza district opened a criminal case under part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

For the commission of this crime, a man faces up to two years in prison.
