Police seized almost 900 grams of marijuana from Tula

In the Zaoksky district of the Tula region, police stopped the possession of drugs on a large scale. During the operational activities, criminal investigation officers examined a residential house and the second floor of a garage on Oktyabrskaya Street in the village of Zaoksky, which belong to a 50-year-old local resident, MK in Tula was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

During the inspection, the guards found and seized green plant matter. Examination in the ECTS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tula region showed that it is cannabis (marijuana) with a total weight of 879.24 grams.

According to preliminary data, the man kept the drug at home without the purpose of marketing. On this fact opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 228 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation.

The defendant was elected a measure of restraint in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior. The maximum penalty under article is up to 10 years in prison.

A similar case occurred in the same Zaoksky district in late September. Then “MK in Tula” reported that the police found a large consignment of drugs in the garden partnership “Sun” in the village of Studeniy – prohibited substances were stored in an outbuilding on the site of a 35-year-old unemployed local resident.
