In the Kirov region, law enforcement agencies gave a procedural assessment of the fatal accident that occurred in the Slobodsky district.
Investigators of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Slobodskaya” opened a criminal case on the grounds of traffic violations, which resulted in the death of two or more persons by negligence (part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The accident occurred on the morning of October 26.
On 615 km of the federal highway "Kostroma - Sharya - Kirov - Perm" in the area of the house No. 10 on the street. The driver of the Renault Logan car drove through an adjustable intersection at the prohibiting red traffic light.
The motorist did not give way to the car "Gazelle Next", which was moving at the permission signal, because of which there was a severe collision.
As a result of the impact, two Renault Logan passengers were fatally injured - a woman born in 1958 and a man born in 1954. They died at the scene before the ambulance arrived.
Ten other people were also injured in the accident. Injuries of varying severity received two surviving passengers of the car, as well as eight passengers who were in the cabin of the minibus.
An active investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions and have already appointed a set of necessary examinations to establish all the details and causes of the tragedy.
