Polish carrier tried to illegally import goods worth 450,000

The Polish carrier did not specify in the accompanying documents information about 4,000 goods to save on customs payments. The violation was revealed by Grodno customs officers. This was reported in the GTK, writes sb.by.

The carrier tried to illegally import from Poland a batch of spare parts for construction equipment and paints worth й 450 thousand. The violation was established by Grodno customs officers at the Berestovitsa checkpoint, where the SCANIA truck arrived for registration.

During the inspection of the vehicle, it was found that 4 thousand units of goods not included in the documents submitted for registration are in the composition of the legally moved groupage cargo. Thus, the carrier tried to understate customs payments by almost 30 thousand.

The Grodno Regional Customs has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Part 1 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code. The carrier will have to pay a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of the administrative violation, as well as missing customs payments.
