Doctors fought for four days for the life of the 69-year-old senior engineer of the turbine department, but failed to save him. The man died in hospital on October 8. Myslo reports.

Severe injuries he received on October 4: when the steam line of the main collector was damaged, 90% of the surface of his body was burned.

Now the fact of the incident is being checked - specialists will have to find out the causes of the accident and assess how the company complied with the requirements of labor protection and industrial safety.

We add that after the emergency at the Kosogorsk Metallurgical Plant, some houses in the Kosaya Gora microdistrict remained without hot water and heating, and the consequences of the accident, according to residents, are being eliminated so far.

Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported that the Ministry of Health of Russia joined in the rescue of the worker. The department asked the Tula Ministry of Health to provide the victim with specialized, including high-tech, assistance and, if there are indications, send him to a specialized clinic.
