A mass brawl involving up to 50 people broke out right during a football training session in the German city of Stade, the Bild newspaper reported, citing local police.
Two groups, totaling between 40 and 50 people, engaged in a verbal spat during a football training session at the Sports Palace. When one of the participants allegedly used pepper spray, the situation escalated, and the men attacked each other, the publication said.
The conflict quickly turned into a brutal battle. According to preliminary data from law enforcement agencies, representatives of the Kurdish and Syrian communities participated in the clashes.
To restore order to the sports facility pulled a significant force of police, and doctors urgently declared a high-alert regime due to the massive influx of injured. As a result of the massacre, six participants received serious head injuries and cuts, after which they were hospitalized. The reasons for such a large-scale conflict are now being established.
