Fight in Yerevan ended with shooting

Three people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a mass brawl with shooting in Yerevan, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reports. The conflict between citizens broke out on Sunday night.

“Police officers found out that near one of the houses on Agasi street between citizens there was a quarrel, which continued on the Tbilisi highway, where firearms were also used,” the ministry said.

The incident was stopped by patrol officers on duty on the spot, who noticed the armed participant in the conflict and quickly neutralized him. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all the victims with injuries of varying severity, as well as the detainee himself, were taken to medical centers.

Currently, law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case and are conducting investigative measures to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
