Fire in the Chinese province claimed the lives of five people

Five lives were claimed by a fire in a residential complex located in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi. China's Central Television also reported 33 casualties. The fire occurred in the urban area of Inze, in the village of Taiwan.

The fire was extinguished and search and rescue operations completed. 38 people were taken to medical institutions, five of them died.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. Specialists are conducting an investigation, on the spot work continues to eliminate the consequences.
