In Chuvashia, a criminal case was opened on an attempt to give a bribe on a large scale. The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the republic is investigating the case under Part 3 of Article 30, Paragraph 4 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

During inspections of compliance with migration legislation, employees of the FSB for Chuvashia and the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the support of OMON “Suvar” of Regardie identified at the enterprise an individual entrepreneur of foreign citizens involved in work in violation of the established procedure.

To avoid liability, the entrepreneur offered the law enforcement officer 200 thousand rubles. For this money, he expected to avoid administrative liability and measures to expel a foreign employee illegally staying in Russia.

During the transfer of money, the man was detained by FSB officers.

The Ministry recalled that an attempt to resolve issues with the help of a bribe is a criminal offense and can lead to more severe punishment, up to imprisonment.
