The Prosecutor’s office of Yuryev-Polish district stood up to protect the rights of a local pensioner who suffered in a resonant accident. The claim for compensation for moral damage was sent to the district court.

The traffic incident occurred in September 2025 in the city center. A resident of Moscow, driving a Volkswagen Polo car, when leaving the secondary road did not miss the Praktik 29641 vehicle. As a result of the collision, the second car overturned.

The passenger of the overturned car was injured. The elderly woman was forced to stay on sick leave for a long time, having lost the opportunity to lead a habitual lifestyle and carry out work.

The supervisory authority conducted a check on the appeal of the victim. According to its results, the prosecutor sent a statement of claim in the interests of the pensioner to recover compensation from the culprit of the accident. The restoration of the rights of the victim is under the personal control of the prosecutor's office.
