Disclosed data on victims among foreigners as a result of the shooting in Krakow

The chief commandant of the Polish police, Marek Boronj, confirmed the death of a British citizen during the shooting incident in Krakow.

According to the head of the department, six people were killed in the incident, including four women and two men. He said that three of the victims are Polish citizens, one is a British citizen, and the identity of two more victims has not yet been established.

The law enforcement official also noted that five foreign nationals were among the injured.

The police chief detailed that the total number of victims was sixteen people, including two law enforcement officers and the shooter himself. Eleven of the wounded are Poles and the remaining five are foreigners.

Earlier in the information reports appeared data that among the victims is a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Polish law enforcement officers reported an incident in the center of Krakow, where an unknown person opened fire from a passing car. Later, the Ministry said that the incident claimed the lives of six people, and more than ten people, including police, were injured. The attacker himself was detained, he also needed medical attention, and now he is in the hospital.

Polish Interior and Administration Minister Marcin Kervinski told the press that thirteen people injured in the shooting were in serious condition.

In turn, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the law enforcement agencies of the republic are actively searching for possible accomplices of the criminal who staged the shooting in Krakow. The head of the Cabinet expressed confidence that the likely accomplices of the shooter will be captured as soon as possible. In addition, he stressed that the investigation of this crime is currently jointly engaged in the police, special services and the prosecutor's office.
