The man who died in the enclosure with tigers before the tragedy danced and asked to take a picture of him with predators. Details of the tragedy at Yorkshire Park in Doncaster were reported by the Metro newspaper.
A video shared on social media captured the moments before the tragedy. A man can be heard addressing another visitor: "Excuse me, could you take a picture of me with a tiger?" The woman agrees. The man then thanked her and asked her to take another picture three times, then said, "Thank you, lady.".
According to witnesses, the man listened to music with headphones and danced. Shortly after talking to the woman, he climbed over the fence and found himself in an enclosure with tigers.
The British were attacked by the Amur tiger. Witnesses said that the predator grabbed the man by the throat and pinned him to the ground. Witnesses heard him shouting "no, no." The doctors were unable to rescue the victim.
After the incident, the park in Doncaster was evacuated and temporarily closed. Police have urged visitors not to distribute videos of the attack online. Relatives of the deceased are supported by specialists.
The tiger stayed in the enclosure. It is not planned to euthanize the animal: according to police, outside the fence it does not pose a threat to the population.
