In Chita, the court sentenced a local resident to seven years in a strict regime colony. He was found guilty of kidnapping a girl. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

According to the Agency, the acquaintance occurred in February 2026. The relationship didn't work out. The man invited the girl to his beauty salon to talk.

When the victim stated that he did not want to continue communication, he snatched a knife. The attacker put her in the car and brought her to his home. There he forcibly kept the girl in the apartment.

The prisoner managed to contact his friends. They came to the rescue and released her. A criminal case was opened against the kidnapper.

The Chitinsky pleaded not guilty in court. He said he had not planned to kidnap anyone. The court sentenced him to seven years in a high-security colony.

In favor of the victim recovered 600 thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage. The convict's car was confiscated.
