The Maykop City Court has ordered remand in custody for a 69-year-old local man accused of killing his wife. This was reported in the channel of the joint press service of the courts of the Republic of Adygea in “Max”.

The court considered the petition of the investigator and granted it: the suspect was arrested for two months - until December 6, 2026 inclusive. He is charged with a crime under part 1 of article 105 of the criminal code (murder).

According to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Adygea, on the evening of October 7, a 69-year-old local resident, being on the territory of a kindergarten in Maikop, out of dislike, inflicted several stabs on his wife with a knife, which he brought with him. From the injuries received, the woman died on the spot.

The man was detained, a criminal case was opened on the fact of murder.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski described the attack at the school as Moscow's hybrid war.
