Russian criminal authority created a gang that kidnapped people

In Chelyabinsk, a criminal community was neutralized, which, according to investigators, was engaged in extortion of money and property, as well as kidnapping people in the Southern Urals. This was reported by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

According to the investigation, a 40-year-old local resident with authority in the criminal environment, created a community for profit. From 2019 to 2025, its participants committed a number of serious and especially serious crimes.

The structure of the organization was based on a rigid hierarchy: two separate units operated in Chelyabinsk and Plast, which were led by three close leaders.

They involved more than 10 people, including a local resident who was versed in entrepreneurship and accounting - she was responsible for financial and economic issues of the group.

The community was characterized by cohesion, discipline and secrecy. Proceeds from crimes came to the general cash register, from which participants and those serving sentences were kept.

In addition, the accomplices shared the ideology of the movement, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation.

The defendants were detained during operational activities with the participation of FSB officers.
