Severodvinsk hospital was punished for inaccessibility for limited mobility

Severodvinsk city court satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor’s office to the dental clinic. The department demanded to ensure access of people with limited mobility to the building. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Arkhangelsk region.

The prosecutor’s office appealed to the court after an inspection that revealed violations of the legislation on social protection of disabled people. It turned out that the entrance to the clinic is not equipped for unhindered access of people with disabilities.

The clinic is an object of social infrastructure, and it is obliged to create conditions for the movement and access of disabled people. Failure to comply with these requirements threatens the life and health of people.

Representatives of the clinic objected, citing the use of a crawler lift. However, the court noted that such a measure is not provided for in the rules and is temporary.

The court satisfied the demands of the prosecutor's office. The clinic is ordered to eliminate violations within a year after the entry into force of the decision. At the moment, the decision has not entered into legal force.
