The Investigative Committee opened an investigation after the incident with the poisoning of schoolchildren in the camp on Sakhalin

The Investigative Committee for the Sakhalin region opened a criminal case after the children were poisoned in the children’s recreation camp “Yubiley”.

Earlier, the regional Ministry of Education reported that six minors with symptoms of poisoning were taken out of the camp “Jubilee” for medical care. Four of them were hospitalized.

The department reported that the investigative department for the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk opened a criminal case on the fact of poisoning minors in the Jubilee children's camp. The corresponding message was published in the department’s channel on the Max platform.

Investigators specified that the case was initiated under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for the provision of services that do not meet security requirements.

The investigation department added that the necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The management of the investigation department took the investigation under personal control.
