Deadly overtaking: motorcyclist killed in Shumilin district
There was an accident in the Shumilin district. The 42-year-old biker at high speed began overtaking, crashed into Opel and died from his injuries at the scene.
In the Shumilin district, a fatal road accident was recorded. The road accident occurred today around four o'clock in the afternoon on the highway R-20, connecting Vitebsk and Polotsk.
According to preliminary information of the traffic police, a 42-year-old man at the wheel of a Honda motorcycle went overtaking, but did not verify the safety of his maneuver, which crashed into the Opel car, which was driven by a 62-year-old driver.
The impact was so strong that the driver of two-wheeled transport died right on the roadway before the arrival of doctors.
On the fact of the accident, law enforcement agencies launched an official inspection to clarify all the circumstances.
