The head of the Department of Homeland Security of the United States, Markwayne Mullin, informed about the introduction of an emergency in the states of Florida and Alabama. The reason for this decision was the approach of the hurricane of the second category called “Isayas”.

Earlier, the National Hurricane Center of the United States reported that the disaster has already reached the coast of Florida. According to reports, the maximum wind speed in the epicenter of the hurricane is about 169 kilometers per hour.

In his message on Platform X, Marquane Mullin indicated that on behalf of US leader Donald Trump, a state of emergency was approved in Florida and Alabama. According to him, this measure is necessary for the prompt allocation of federal resources for the elimination of the consequences of Hurricane Isayas.

Earlier, meteorologists from the National Center for tracking hurricanes warned about the possible strengthening of the elements. According to their forecasts, Hurricane Isayas could gain additional power and hit the American Gulf Coast on Friday evening or Saturday.
