Stavropol will spend eight years in prison for the murder of a neighbor

The Novoaleksandrovsk district court found a 43-year-old resident of Novoaleksandrovsk guilty of killing a neighbor.

The press service of the regional investigators reported that, according to investigators, on the morning of June 9 this year, a conflict broke out between him and the deceased 67-year-old woman due to the fact that the defendant suspected her of killing a cat. He found the corpse of an animal on his site and suggested that the neighbor used poison that harmed animals. On the grounds of personal hostility, he strangled her with a rope.

The court sentenced him to imprisonment for a term of 8 years with serving a sentence in a correctional colony of strict regime. The sentence has not entered into force.
