According to TASS, one of the participants in the trial, the 65-year-old former head of the Vyatka region was sent under house arrest as part of the investigation of a criminal case about receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.

According to preliminary data of law enforcement agencies, the amount of the bribe imputed to the official is 18,000,000 rubles. The actions of the suspect are qualified under the sixth part of article 290 of the criminal code.

The former governor of the Kirov region took the leading position in the military-patriotic park in the spring of 2026.

This criminal prosecution is associated with large-scale proceedings around the leadership of the institution.
