The court of the Tver region sentenced the man in the case of drugs

The Vyshnevolotsky interdistrict court considered a criminal case against a local resident accused of illegal acquisition and storage without the purpose of selling drugs on a large scale.

The press service of the court told about the circumstances established by the verdict. The defendant had a direct criminal intent aimed at the illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic drugs without the purpose of marketing.

To do this, the man in the car, driven by a friend who did not know about the criminal intentions, proceeded to the place where, as the defendant assumed, he would be able to find drugs. The man found and seized a substance that is a derivative of a narcotic drug, and a substance containing a narcotic drug in its composition.

On the way back, at the entrance to Vyshny Volochek, the car was stopped by police officers, the man was detained and taken to the department, where he was found and seized 10.08 grams of a substance that is a derivative of a narcotic drug, as well as 0.86 grams of a substance containing a narcotic drug.

The court found the man guilty of committing a crime under part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and appointed 3.5 years of imprisonment in a special regime colony.

The sentence has not entered into force.
