Court rules over student stabbed to death by school cleaner

The district court for family and juvenile affairs in Vyszkow has decided to place a 15-year-old teenager who killed a cleaner and injured two people at a school for three months in an educational institution for minors. This was reported by the police, reports TVN24. This measure was chosen in connection with the commission of a particularly serious crime - the murder and attempted murder of two people. The juvenile detention center is analogous to the temporary arrest applied to adults: it is a closed institution with round-the-clock supervision of teachers and guards.

The tragedy occurred at a school in Leschydol-Noviny Vyshkivsky povate of Mazovetsk Voivodeship, where a 15-year-old student attacked with a knife the staff of the educational institution. As a result, 37-year-old cleaning lady Daria died, two more people were injured. The teenager was defused and handed over to police by the headmaster of the school, who said that after the attack, the boy began to apologize. Police officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, examined the scene and seized traces and evidence, after which the case file was transferred to the court.

The incident in Leszczydol-Noviny was the second knife attack in Polish schools in two days. Earlier, on October 7, a 19-year-old student of a vocational school in Ostrolenka attacked people with a knife, injuring at least ten people, including himself. Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the circumstances of both incidents.
