The body of a man with a gunshot wound was found during a patrol

In Atlanta, two young men were charged with the murder of a man found in a city park. On September 25, CBS News Atlanta reported on the completion of the search for the identified suspects, citing the police.

The body was found on the morning of September 2. A policeman was patrolling the area near the park when he noticed a man with a gunshot wound. Arriving medics pronounced the death. The investigation was led by the city police and members of the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force.

The first suspect, 19-year-old Markel Daniel, was detained on September 16 in an Atlanta apartment building. A little more than a week later, police and FBI agents detained the second, 18-year-old Latonian Patterson.

Both are in Fulton County Detention Facility. They are charged with murder in the commission of a serious crime, aggravated assault and illegal use of weapons. The motive for the attack has not yet been disclosed by the police.
