Tragedy on the railway: train Kostroma-Yaroslavl hit two elderly women

Kostroma media reported on the tragic incident that took place today, October 9, at the railway stretch Kosmynino — Karimovo. There the train “Kostroma – Yaroslavl” shot down two women aged 64 and 58 years.

According to preliminary data, both women were walking too close to the railway tracks and for some reason did not notice the approaching train, despite the fact that the driver gave audible signals and applied emergency braking. As a result, the eldest of the women suffered injuries, from which she died on the spot, and the other was hospitalized. Official comments on the incident from Russian Railways and law enforcement agencies have not yet been received.
