Tourist bus hits moose in Chuvashia

In the Red Army municipal district of Chuvashia there was a road accident involving a tourist bus and a wild animal.

The accident occurred on October 11 at about 18:00 on the 51st km of the Cheboksary – Surskoe highway. The driver of the Iveko bus, following the route Yoshkar-Ola – Murom, hit an elk in the area of the Wild Animals road sign.

In the cabin of the vehicle at the time of the accident were 17 people, including two minors. According to preliminary data, none of the passengers were injured. To continue the trip, a call for a reserve bus was organized for tourists.

At the scene also arrived specialists KU CR "Directorate for the protection of wildlife and specially protected natural areas" of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Chuvashia to assist the wounded animal. The circumstances of the accident are being established.
