A criminal case was opened on the owners of a zoo shelter in Kaluga

Volunteers are accused of cruelty to animals.

Today, the police visited one of the centers where vagrants were kept.

The inspection was carried out after the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs received information from public activists who reported improper maintenance of pets in the shelter.

The investigative division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Kaluga today opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Cruelty to Animals".

Earlier, “MK in Kaluga” wrote that in the Maloyaroslavets district, the culprit paid 550 thousand to the victim.
