Ulyanovsk will be poisoned in prison for murder 13 years ago

The court found a resident of the Ulyanovsk region guilty of murder, which was committed in 2012, as well as forcing a witness to give false testimony.

As established by the investigation and the court, the tragedy occurred on the night of December 30, 2012 in the village of Sukhai Valley Ulyanovsk district. During the quarrel, the man struck his friend at least 32 blows to the head, face and chest - including a wooden stool, and then stabbed at least three times in the neck and once in the chin area. From his injuries, the victim died on the spot. To hide the traces of the crime, the attacker set fire to the room where the body was located.

The crime was not solved until 2026. In February, during the investigation, data appeared on the involvement of the man - they were confirmed by the testimony of a witness. At the same time, the defendant tried to avoid responsibility: he used violence against the witness and threatened him with murder, forcing him to give false testimony during the investigation and in court.

The crime was solved thanks to the joint work of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the police. According to the court, the man was sentenced to 10 years in prison - he will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony.
