Damage to residents of Chuvashia from the actions of fraudsters exceeded 750 million rubles

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chuvash Republic named the most common schemes of remote fraud. For nine months of this year, the damage from the actions of scammers exceeded 750 million rubles.

The police warn: you can not tell unauthorized codes from SMS, passwords and bank details, click on suspicious links and transfer money to so-called secure accounts. To protect against fraudulent loans, it is recommended to establish a self-prohibition on their remote registration through “Public Services”.

Among the victims are pensioners, students, schoolchildren and representatives of various professions.

The Interior Ministry urges residents to remain vigilant and check any suspicious information.
