Refrigerant leak leads to death of Russian sailor

A Russian sailor injured in a refrigerant leak on the vessel Kaltan in the port of Busan died four days after the accident, the Russian Consulate General in Busan said. The incident occurred on the morning of September 15 on board a Russian fishing vessel, standing in the port of Kamcheon.

According to the consulate, four people were injured in the leak. One of them was in serious condition and needed urgent help. Despite the events, the man died on September 19.

The Russian diplomatic mission expressed condolences to the relatives of the deceased and continues to monitor the situation.
