In St. Petersburg completed the investigation of the criminal case of murder that occurred in Israel in 2004. The accused was a 68-year-old man who is currently serving time for other particularly serious crimes. This was reported in GSU SK in St. Petersburg.
According to investigators, in March 2004, the man decided to kill his friend. The target was the victim’s money – 200 million rubles. To do this, the attacker found an accomplice and took out a gun with a silencer. Together they arrived in the Israeli city of Ashkelon, where their friend was hiding.
On March 31, 2004, they shot the victim at least seven times. The man died on the spot, and the killers fled. It is known that the accomplice of the crime died in 2015.
To gather evidence, investigators from St. Petersburg flew to Israel. There, together with local law enforcement officers, they studied the materials of the criminal case about the death of a man and the recordings from surveillance cameras. In addition, investigators questioned witnesses who confirmed the involvement of the accused in the murder.
Now the investigation has gathered a comprehensive evidence base. The criminal case with the indictment will soon be transferred to court.
