Two passenger ships collided on the Congo River in the Democratic Republic of Congo on the night of October 4 and sank. The incident was reported by radio station Okapi.

The accident occurred near the village of Ngombe Lukolela in the province of Equatorial. According to preliminary data, both ships were overcrowded. There are dead, but their number has not yet been established. Rescuers managed to pull about 30 people out of the water, some passengers are missing.

Search and rescue operations are continuing at the site. Official information on victims and victims has not yet been published.

In Hormuz, a second oil tanker exploded.
