In the Aleshkin district, police detained a suspect in a series of thefts

In the Aleshkin district of the Kherson region, law enforcement officers uncovered a series of thefts committed by a local resident. This was reported in the regional interior Ministry.

In the duty part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Aleshkinsky” appealed to two local residents with statements about theft. The total damage caused to the victim amounted to about 245 thousand rubles.

During the operational-search activities, operatives established that a 37-year-old resident of the district was involved in the crimes.

So, the man broke a window and entered a shopping point in the village of Vinogradovo. From there he stole goods worth about 200 thousand rubles and money from the cash register in the amount of 40 thousand. He sold the stolen goods and spent the money on his personal needs.

In addition, the suspect illegally entered the house of another local resident through an unlocked door and stole a washing machine. The stolen property was seized by the police.

On the facts of theft, criminal cases were initiated under Articles 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed with illegal entry into the premises, causing significant damage, and theft committed with illegal penetration into the home).

The suspect was selected a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave. He faces up to six years in prison.
