In the Astrakhan region police checked 314 foreigners
The region is undergoing the second stage of the large-scale operational and preventive operation “Illegal-2026”, which is conducted by the Regional Office for Migration. Since the start of the event, law enforcement officers have recorded more than 300 cases of non-compliance with migration rules.

Mobile groups formed from representatives of different units are involved in raiding activities: employees of the Separate DPS Battalion, patrol and postal service, as well as specialists of combat units delegated from municipal districts and districts work in them.
According to the Astrakhan police, priority objects of control were places of mass residence of foreign citizens, as well as vehicles. Special attention is paid to the highways of federal importance – they are strengthened verification measures. In addition, checkpoints have been deployed in four districts of the region: inspectors check the documents of drivers and passengers there.
The results of the first four days of the operation demonstrate a significant burden on the units: 314 people were delivered to police departments. 211 administrative protocols have been drawn up for foreign citizens. Of these, more than half (52%) are related to violations of migration laws, others are related to non-compliance with traffic rules. The total amount of fines was more than 250 thousand rubles.
