In Baranovichi Mercedes hit a pedestrian: a man died on the spot
As a result of the collision, the victim was thrown with great force on a bus standing at a stop
In the city of Baranovichi on the evening of November 7, a fatal road accident occurred. According to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, a 29-year-old local resident, driving a Mercedes car, was moving along Telman Street.
At about 22:10 near the house number 23, he hit a 56-year-old man. A pedestrian was crossing the carriageway near a regulated crossing. As a result of the collision, the victim was thrown with great force on the bus standing at the stop. From his injuries, the man died on the spot before the arrival of doctors. On this fact, law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case.
In connection with the tragedy, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Brest region appealed to road users to be careful. Pedestrians are advised to use reflective elements in the dark, not to be distracted by phones and remove headphones when crossing. Drivers need to slow down before crossing and be ready to give way to people who have already entered the roadway.
