In the Brest district, a 17-year-old worker died while testing a ventilation unit

Investigators establish the circumstances of the fatal injury of a 17-year-old teenager in the Brest district. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee, writes sb.by.

At the enterprise of Brest district, during the inspection of the supply ventilation system, a 17-year-old worker who worked under a contract was killed.

"It was established that the young man was near the equipment when the air stream dragged him inside," the ministry said.

At the scene of the incident, an investigative and operational group worked, which included forensic specialists of the USK in the Brest region. The investigators, together with the expert of the SKSE, examined the place, recorded the situation. We interviewed witnesses and seized technical documents. They've ordered an examination.

The Brest Interdistrict Department of the Investigative Committee against those responsible for labor protection at the enterprise opened criminal cases under Part 2 of Article 306 (violation of labor protection rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence) and Part 1 of Article 144 (causing death by negligence) of the Criminal Code of Belarus.

All the circumstances of the incident, as well as the causes and conditions that led to the tragedy, are being clarified.
